Post Op Day Eleven

Dads doing wonderful! He has been taking walks close to 15 minutes 3 times a day. He’s getting up and down the stairs pretty well now. He still needs to work on his spirometer. He has gotten to 1500 but the home health nurse wants him at 3000. She also heard a little fluid in his lungs so she has laid down the law about its importance. He has been going on short road trips around town with Esther but has yet to venture into a store. I think he is trying to find the sweet spot so he can be comfortable for his 9 hour ride home.

His nurse will be back tomorrow to check him out again make sure he is doing well and then she will come back Thursday morning to take out his staples in his leg and if all goes well, release him from her care and allow him to head south.
